Road accidents in Bangladesh

Road accidents are reduced in other parts of the country as annually but different images are seen in Dhaka. Road accidents in Dhaka increased by 183 percent in 2016 compared to 2015. Earlier, the road accidents increased in the year 2015 as compared to the previous year. The government agency, the fire service and civil defense report showed the figure of accidents in Dhaka. According to the fire service report published this year, in 2014, 766 people killed in 3,431 road accidents in the country. In this, 477 accidents were killed in 139 people in Dhaka. In the year 2015, a total of 2,888 people died in road accidents in seven divisions. In this, 224 people were killed in 484 road accidents in Dhaka. As such, the road accidents in Dhaka increased by 1.5 percent in 2015 compared to 2014. But in the next year, in 2016, in a total of 5,394 road accidents in seven divisions of the country killed 1,162 people. In this, 401 people were killed in 1 371 road accidents in Dhaka. In 2011, the road accident in Dhaka increased by 183 percent compared to 2015. At the same time the number of casualties increased by 75 percent. Regarding increasing the road accidents in Dhaka, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Moushal Uddin told the trader that compared to other districts of the country, the pressure of car is always a little more in Dhaka. In spite of repeatedly telling the drivers, they do not want to follow the traffic laws in most cases. These reasons are mainly due to the increase in road accidents in the capital. However, to reduce the road accidents, traffic department has been conducting various awareness programs with the drivers. Meanwhile, four people were killed and two seriously injured in four separate accidents in the capital between 10am and Wednesday morning. According to police information, a private car driver was killed in a road accident in Hatirjheel in the capital yesterday morning. Another passenger and one bike rider on the private car were injured. After the police seized the bus, the driver and the helper escaped before. Earlier, on Wednesday between 10 and 12, three people, including an unknown woman, were killed in separate road accidents in the capital's Mirpur Shahli, Uttara and Airport areas. Ashish Kumar Dey, general secretary of the National Committee to Protect the Navy, Road and Railway, said that the traffic violation was not necessarily based on the traffic rules, the driver's reckless speed, the traffic department and the BRTA authorities did not play the proper role and the accident was increasing due to the violent rush of roads and highways. He said that if the daily routine of mobile court is conducted in the highways and highways, he can reduce the road accident. In fact, Fire Service members were present at the scene in different accidents across the country. After the rescue of the casualties, the Fire Service team submitted the accident reports. In this process, the Fire Service publishes an annual report by inserting information from all over the country. Fire Service and Civil Defense Director (Operations) Major Shakil Newaz said that the Fire Service has created such a survey every year with small and large accidents.
